US Sailing Association membership is required for the US Sailing Junior Olympic Festival events.  For information on acquiring a USSA membership click here, FAQ #2.

All HYSA regattas require a HYSA 2023 Membership.  If you are a new sailor, go to the Sailor & Parents page to learn more, and follow the links to register online.  Topper sailors, July 11-12 regattas, do not require a HYSA membership.

  - Due to conflicting HYSA staff members' summer schedules, new HYSA 2023 junior members can pick up their complimentary tech shirts during Check-In at the July 9-10th JO O'pen Skiff events only this summer.  Otherwise, if we miss you, you can pick it up at your next HYSA event after August.

Aloha Sailors and Parents: 

We are excited about the upcoming Junior Olympic Festivals that begin next week Wednesday, July 5th. It should be very exciting as there will be Transpac Finishers in the harbor and at the club. The important part to focus on for our guests is where boats will be launching from:  

There will be a large Transpac Party in the haul-out yard at WYC on the 12th. They are setting up for a thousand people. There will be a stage, AstroTurf, tables and chairs etc, The setup begins on the 11th and the breakdown concludes on the morning of the 13th.

Arrive at WYC-- Dry Storage Haul Out Area is Ned Murphy marinecenter@waikikiyachtclub.com  

Open Skiffs Begin Sunday, July 9 

Guests will launch from HYC--Contact Melody for more info--Trailer parking will be difficult so it will be best to transport boats by vehicle.  808 436-6092  

El Toros Begin Tuesday, July 11

Lasers will begin Thursday, July 13 

Guests can launch from WYC the timing will be critical as they will be breaking down the stage and AstroTurf from the haul-out yard from the Transpac Party. They are supposed to complete this in the morning. Dry Storage Haul Out Area is Ned Murphy marinecenter@waikikiyachtclub.com I am trying to get a firm answer on when that will be complete.
